What trees are being removed? Trees that are being removed are marked with red dots at the base of each tree. A few days prior to removal our staff will also place an orange X on the tree.

Why are these trees being removed? All of the trees that are selected for removal have been deemed dangerous by Arborists, Urban foresters and City Staff and pose a danger to the public. Each tree is either dead, diseased, dying, or structurally compromised.

What will access to my road and driveway be like on the day the work is completed? Roads will be closed to through traffic. This means that only residents, guests of residents, garbage trucks, postal carriers and emergency service personnel will have direct access. Signs and barricades will be posted at each intersection and access point to your street. A space for access will be left open between signs and barricades. We will not block driveways with equipment when possible. If your driveway must be blocked it will only be for a short time and our staff will provide you with advanced notice. We respectfully ask that no one park on the street or underneath the trees being removed on the day of service.

How long will it take? The typical removal process for large street trees will take approximately 2-4 hours each.

What time will you start and end each day? We understand that being woke up by the roar of heavy equipment bright and early is annoying. We typically get on site around 7:30 am to begin the morning pre-work site inspection and safety meeting. the actual tree removal will usually start around 8:00-9:00 and we will work until 4:00 to 5:00 depending on the location.

What happens to the trees once they are removed? We love to repurpose and reuse absolutely every part of the tree that we can. We like to refer to it as Tree-cycling. A majority of the mulch/woodchips will be used as biofuel to provide electricity to our neighbors just to the north. The limbs and trunk will be sorted out and transported to various places to make boards, slabs for tables, paper and firewood for those in need through local nonprofits. If you would like any wood our woodchips, we would love to provide you with some at no charge. Please speak with one of our team members on site and they can assist you.

What will my yard look like when you're done? After the tree removal is complete our stump grinding team will grind the stump 6 inches below the surface. The mulch from the stump grinding process that is above ground level will be removed. The remaining area will be raked smooth.
